Teacher
After graduating valedictorian at Bloomburg High School in 2007, I attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ar. I graduated in May 2011 with my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. My time in the HSU Teachers’ College gave me precious expertise and experience in teaching elementary students to become lifelong learners. Go Reddies!

I am currently a second grade teacher at Atlanta Primary and have been since 2018. I teach second grade students to be readers, writers, mathemeticians, problem solvers, and creative thinkers.
My teaching career began in 2011 as an Atlanta Rabbit when I taught Pre-K 3. After my short time in Pre-K 3, I taught six incredible years in first grade at Bloomburg ISD. My time in first grade developed my love for the science behind teaching reading and ignited my passion for teaching young children to read. I then returned to Atlanta in 2018 as a second grade teacher and have been in love with this grade level and content ever since! It’s always a great day to be an Atlanta Second Grade Rabbit!
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Jake Mebane, since July 2009. We have been blessed with four beautiful children. We have two girls, Ealie and Millie, and two sons, Caden and Evan.
I enjoy spending time with my family and playing with my kids. I love to read, run and work out, and cook.
